01 / TECHNICAL FAQ

Questions before you specify a project.

Model selection starts with the vessel electrical system, installation position, target output, and fishing method. The answers below summarize our standard product program; final production details are confirmed in the signed project specification.

01Which Abylure model should I choose for my vessel?

The standard range includes ABY-500, ABY-600, ABY-800, and ABY-1000, rated at 500 W, 600 W, 800 W, and 1000 W. Choose the power class only after checking the vessel supply, available mounting space, target coverage, circuit capacity, and the number of lamps to be installed.

For a retrofit, send us the existing lamp wattage, base or connector, line voltage and frequency, photos of the mounting position, and the quantity per circuit. Our engineering team can then recommend a suitable configuration.

02What AC input voltage ranges are available?

Reference AC input ranges are 140–300 VAC for ABY-500, 160–300 VAC for ABY-600, 116–277 VAC for ABY-800, and 330–430 VAC for ABY-1000. All four standard platforms have a listed power factor of 0.95.

Do not select by nominal voltage alone. Please provide the measured operating range, frequency, generator or shore-power type, and any surge conditions. Driver matching and the final electrical configuration must be confirmed before production.

03How much light output can I expect, and what is the beam angle?

The listed rated efficacy is 145 lm/W for ABY-500, ABY-600, and ABY-800, and 140 lm/W for ABY-1000. The rated beam angle is 119° across the current range, supporting broad above-water deck and sea-surface coverage.

Photometric output changes with CCT or spectrum, driver current, optical configuration, and test tolerances. Supplied test data includes 73,188.84 lm for a 500 W / 4000 K configuration and 134,664.20 lm for an 800 W / 6200 K configuration. Ask for the report that matches your quoted build.

04Does IP67 mean the lamp can operate permanently underwater?

No. This product program is designed for above-water, vertical installation. IP67 describes enclosure protection under defined test conditions; it does not make a standard lamp suitable for continuous underwater operation.

Correct sealing of the cable entry, connector, base assembly, and installation interface remains essential. If your project requires a submerged fishing light, state this clearly so a dedicated underwater design can be evaluated.

05Can the lights retrofit E39 or E40 installations?

An E39/E40 adjustable base is available for applicable configurations, making the range suitable for many fleet retrofit programs. Mechanical fit alone is not enough: the socket condition, fixture load, installation orientation, clearances, supply voltage, and matched constant-current LED driver must all be checked.

For older vessels, include clear photos and dimensions of the existing holder and wiring arrangement in your inquiry.

06How should the lamp be installed and maintained in a saltwater environment?

Install the lamp vertically with the specified clearances and keep the heat-dissipation surfaces unobstructed. Use marine-suitable wiring and fastening hardware, and have the electrical work completed by a qualified installer.

After service in salt spray, rinse exterior surfaces with fresh water when practical, remove salt deposits, and inspect the base, seals, cable entry, fasteners, and heat-dissipation areas. Supplied quality documentation references IP67, UV III aging for 168 hours, and corrosion-protection measures; the maintenance interval should reflect the vessel's actual environment.

07Can you customize the spectrum, electrical system, housing, or branding?

Yes. OEM/ODM options can include the power platform, input and driver configuration, CCT or spectrum, optical distribution, housing finish, labels, manuals, cartons, and branded packaging.

For spectrum development, tell us the target species, fishing method, operating region and water conditions, preferred color or wavelength objective, and any reference lamp you currently use. Custom performance and availability are subject to engineering validation and project quantity.

08What are the MOQ, sample policy, and production lead time?

MOQ is project-dependent. Samples and pilot runs can be evaluated after an engineering review. Standard and customized builds have different material, driver, spectrum, labeling, packaging, and validation requirements, so a single universal lead time would be misleading.

Send the model or target wattage, voltage, quantity, destination country, customization needs, and requested delivery date. We will reply with the applicable MOQ, sample plan, production schedule, and commercial terms.

09What testing, documents, and warranty support can be provided?

Available project documentation can include optical test reports, driver matching records, final QA information, and project-specific compliance files. The product program references IP67 protection and a two-year warranty; final warranty terms, tolerances, certificates, and documentation scope are confirmed in the quotation and signed project specification.

If your market or tender requires specific CE, RoHS, EMC, test-report, labeling, or language documents, list them before ordering so availability and configuration can be verified.

Engineering note: The figures above are configuration references compiled from supplied technical materials. Vessel suitability, photometric performance, tolerances, compliance documents, and final production parameters must be confirmed against the signed project specification.
